Primary Race For Solon Mayor Decided
Edward Kraus and Doug Magill were in a virtual deadlock for most of Tuesday evening.

SOLON, OH — Primary election night was an extremely tense evening for at least two of Solon's mayoral candidates. Doug Magill and Edward Kraus were in a virtual tie for much of Tuesday night. Jennifer Brush, the city's third mayoral candidate, trailed both her competitors by a wide margin.
Only two of Tuesday's candidates will advance to the November general election. Magill and Kraus are both Solon City Councilmen, while Brush is a former foreign services officer and ambassador. The two current city officials are set to square off in the general election.
The city's current mayor, Susan Drucker, will not seek a third term in office, according to cleveland.com. (To stay up to date on local stories, subscribe to the Patch Solon newsletter. As news breaks and the story develops, you will be the first to receive updates from Patch.)
