Rebar Used To Damage Man's Car In Solon: Police

Police have arrested a woman for damaging the man's car.

SOLON, OH — Someone placed a piece of rebar beneath a man's 2014 Toyota, puncturing the radiator of the vehicle. Police said the man was working at a Solon company when the damage was done.

Investigators got word of the punctured radiator on August 30. A 55-year-old Cleveland woman has been charged with criminal damaging.

OVI, September 2 — A car accident at Harper and US 422 brought police to the scene at about 8 p.m. on September 2. The at-fault driver seemed to be impaired. He was put through field sobriety tests and then arrested and taken to Solon Jail. He refused to take a breath test. He is being charged with operating a vehicle impaired, driving under suspension, and failure to yield.

Theft, September 5 — Last Wednesday, loss prevention officers took a woman into custody at Market District on Aurora Road. The woman was suspected of shoplifting merchandise. Police arrived and arrested the 73-year-old suspect. Police believe the woman stole $195.50 of merchandise and left the store without paying.
