Relay For Life of Solon to be named in Memory of Shari B. Singer
Relay For Life of Solon is extremely special this year as it is named in memory of Shari B. Singer

The American Cancer Society will name the Relay For Life of Solon in Memory of Shari B. Singer this year. The event will take place at Solon High School on Friday, June 3rd from 6pm until Midnight. Shari volunteered for the American Cancer Society for years. Relay For Life was a family affair to her – her husband and children walked the track next to her each year she participated in the event. Shari recruited teams, participants, and sponsors and successfully grew the event to one of Cuyahoga County’s largest Relay For Life events. Relay For Life of Solon saw its most successful years under her leadership. When Shari lost her battle with cancer, this community decided to take charge of Relay For Life and turn it back into what Shari once made it. To date there are 20 Event Leadership Team members steering the event and 27 teams fundraising for the event. Many of these individuals are friends or family who have committed to the fight against cancer to honor Shari’s legacy. Relay For Life of Solon is dedicated to raising $50,000 this year in the fight against cancer. Dollars raised fund groundbreaking cancer research, free information, and vital American Cancer Society programs and services that support those in our community facing a diagnosis. Please consider joining the Relay For Life of Solon this year in memory of Shari Singer. There are opportunities to form teams, sign up as a cancer survivor, or volunteer at the event. You may register or donate to show your support at RelayForLife.org/SolonOH. You can also contact Rachel McKelvey at 888-227-6446 ext. 1205 or Rachel.McKelvey@cancer.org for more information about the event.
