Roadside Argument Ends With Solon Cops Giving Man Ride To Work
A fight between driver and passenger ended with screaming and police sirens last week.

SOLON, OH — Solon cops had to go above and beyond the call of duty last week. Officers were called to a roadside dispute that had gotten out of control. A driver was screaming and shouting at a passenger, refusing to let them out of their car. Cops showed up and had to give the passenger a ride to work, after citing the driver for disorderly conduct.

Theft, Oct. 26 — Between 9:30 p.m. Oct. 24 and 8 a.m. Oct. 25, someone entered storage spaces at the Park East Apartments and took approximately $569 of items, including extension cords, a golf club set, golf balls, portable heater, golf umbrellas, a battery charger, a fan and emergency roadside equipment.

Disorderly Conduct, Oct. 29 — Police were called to Park East Drive for a loud argument in one of the apartments. Officers found a man standing outside the apartment, apparently intoxicated. The 44-year-old man was arrested for disorderly conduct and taken to Solon Jail.
OVI, Oct. 29 — Police arrested a 32-year-old Solon man after he was stopped on SR 91 for drifting around the road. Officers stopped the man on Aurora Road. The driver had a hard time understanding police when they spoke with him. The man later took a urine test and the results of that test are pending.

Disorderly Conduct, Oct. 31 — A Houston Texas woman was cited for disorderly conduct on Halloween. The woman, 24, was cited after police responded to a fight between the driver and passenger of a car on US 422. The driver, the Houston woman, reportedly refused to let the passenger out of the car. When the passenger finally got out of the vehicle, the woman began screaming at the passenger, then got out of the car and drive to get the passenger back into the vehicle. The driver was cited for disorderly conduct. The passenger was given a ride to work.
Theft, Oct. 31 — Loss prevention officers at Market District tried to stop a man from stealing two bottles of wine from a shelf in the store. The man tried to leave the grocery store without paying and set off the theft deterrent sensors. The loss prevention officer chased the would-be thief out of the store but lost the man in the woods behind Boston Market. The detective bureau will follow-up on the incident.
