Roadwork Constricting US 422 In Solon

Crews are working in the area of the abandoned railroad on SR 91.

SOLON, OH — Commuters heading through Solon may notice construction crews working around the US 422 bridge, over the abandoned railroad east of SR 91. Those crews are repairing slopes and will cause some temporary restrictions of traffic on US 422.

The Ohio Department of Transportation said in an email that single lanes on both US 422 east and west will be closed due to construction. Westbound work will not begin until 9 a.m., to hopefully dodge the majority of morning rush hour traffic.

Eastbound traffic will be suspended at 3 p.m. to allow for rush-hour traffic in the other direction. Work will be conducted between the Cuyahoga County line and SOM Center Rd.
