Cathy DuBois, M.Ed. founder of the nonprofit ReInventing the Cycle and developer of Project S.T.O.P. (Stop The Oppressive Predator) will join us to share strategies to prevent abuse. She will also share her children's book, When a Stranger to LOOK OUT for Isn't a Stranger, which is a tool that can be used to sensitively approach this subject. Books will be available for purchase for $10.00.
The meeting is free and open to the public. Free childcare will be provided courtesy of SECPTA and My Gym of Solon.
SECPTA is a unit of the Parent Teacher Association (PTA), organized for the parents of preschool age children (birth–5), regardless of what school the child will attend. We always welcome new members from Solon and the surrounding communities. If you are the parent of a preschool age child or infant, we have something for you. The purpose of our organization is to help parents of preschool age children better understand their children via qualified resources, educational programs, the sharing of experiences, and social activities. For more information about SECPTA, visit www.SolonEarlyChildhoodPTA.com.
