Sherlock Holmes-Inspired Holiday Play Coming To Solon

The high school drama club will put on a four-day performance of a unique murder mystery.

SOLON, OH — The game will be afoot in Solon starting Nov. 16. That's when the Solon High School Drama Club's fall production of The Game's Afoot, or Holmes for the Holidays, will start a three-day run in the school's auditorium.

The comedic murder mystery follows William Gillette, an American actor who gained fame for his portrayal Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's famous detective. The show is set in the 1930s in Gillette's Connecticut mansion for a Christmas Eve celebration. Then, of course, one of the guests is murdered and Gillette takes on the role of the great detective.

The production will begin its three-day run Nov. 16 with three straight nights of shows starting at 7 p.m. Then, on Nov. 19, there will be a matinee show at 2 p.m.
