Shoplifter Pushes Solon Grocery Employee, Runs Away
The suspect loaded her purse with merchandise and then ran out of the store, according to Solon Police.
SOLON, OH — A shoplifter attacked a Marc's employee and ran out of the store with a collection of unpaid merchandise, according to police records.
The theft happened on Friday, March 29, at a little after 12 p.m. A loss prevention officer for the grocery store told police he had been watching a woman remove items from shelves and place them in a large brown purse.
The woman then walked to the front of the store and tried to leave without paying. The employee confronted the woman before she bolted.

The loss prevention officer identified herself and told the woman to return to the store to pay for the items. The suspect then pushed the employee and took off running.
The suspect was seen getting into a car which quickly sped away from the area. The employee managed to take a picture of the license plate on the car.

Solon Police said they have obtained the photograph and detectives have been assigned to the case.
