Shoplifters Hit Bainbridge Store, Come To Solon

Police found three people at a Solon Walgreen's that matched the description of shoplifters wanted in Bainbridge.

SOLON, OH — A trio of shoplifters allegedly hit a Walmart in Bainbridge before driving to Solon and stealing merchandise from Walgreens. Police were able to apprehend all three suspects before they got away.

At about 12:30 p.m., Solon Police got a call from Bainbridge cops saying a shoplifting had just happened at a local Walmart. The suspects were in a car heading toward Solon.

Officers found the suspect vehicle at Walgreen's, 6270 SOM Center Road. There was a man standing just outside the car, and another man was nearby talking on a cell phone. Officers saw a woman walking through a wooded area behind the drugstore, and she fit the description of one of the suspects that Bainbridge Police talked about.

All three people were apprehended and found to have shoplifted $202.86 in merchandise from Walgreen's, Solon Police said.

A 47-year-old woman from Shaker Heights was arrested and charged with theft. A Cleveland man, 45, was charged with theft and obstructing official business. The third person, a 54-year-old from Maple Heights, was charged with complicity. All three people were transferred to Bainbridge Police custody.
