Solar Eclipse 2017: See Photos From Around Ohio
Send us your photos and videos of the eclipse and we'll add them to the growing collection.

For a few hours on Monday, Northeast Ohioans proceeded outside, donned silly looking glasses (or held cereal boxes to their eyes) and stared at the total solar eclipse. In what has proven to be an often soggy and chaotic summer, the once-in-a-lifetime (sort of) event was a welcome reprieve. Thousands of people flocked to Edgewater Park to soak in the sun, hear the strum of acoustic guitars, and eagerly take in the eclipse.
The last solar eclipse was in 1979, which nullifies the once-in-a-lifetime claim for many Americans. For Ohioans, it also wasn't a complete, total eclipse. It was still a spectacular sight.
The next solar eclipse will be visible in Ohio in 2024 (again, not so much a once-in-a-lifetime event). Ohioans will again have prime seating for that event. So keep the Bonnie Tyler on rotation.
