Solon Boys Basketball Advances To State Tournament
The boys beat Willoughby South High School 74-72 on March 4 to advance. They'll play again March 8.

EUCLID, OH - Deja vu, anyone? Last year the Solon Comets dispatched the Cleveland Heights-University Heights boys basketball team in state tournament play. Now the two teams are preparing to meet again on March 8.
To get to Wednesday's game, the Comets had to squeak past Willoughby South High School on March 4. Solon won a heart-racer by a tally of 74-72.
The Tigers beat up Madison High School on March 4, cruising to victory 79-61. That victory advanced the Tigers to the state basketball tournament. Waiting for them in their first round of state play is the antagonist of their previous year's campaign, the Solon Comets.

The two teams will square off at Euclid High School, 711 E 222nd St, Euclid. Tip-off is at 7 p.m. and you won't want to miss the game.
The Tigers finished their season with an overall record of 13-9 and an in-conference record of 5-5. Solon meanwhile finished with a 16-7 overall record and an 8-6 in-conference record.
