Solon Bus Crash: 9 Hurt In Friday Collision: Reports

A car reportedly hit the back of an RTA bus a little before 6 a.m. on Aurora Road.

SOLON, OH — Nine people were hurt when a car hit the back of an RTA bus on Friday morning in Solon. The crash happened on Aurora Road, near Camp Parkway.

Eight passengers on the bus, and the RTA driver, were taken to a local hospital for examination, Fox 8 reported. None of the injuries are expected to be serious.

The bus was going south on Aurora Road when the car hit the back of the bus. It's unclear what prompted the crash, but Fox 8 said there are charges pending as a result of the accident.

Traffic was diverted away from the area after the crash, News 5 said. EMS and police were on the scene, checking on passengers and directing commuters.
