Solon Grabs Number One Seed In District Basketball Tournament
The Comets roll into the post-season with a lot of momentum and a first round bye.

SOLON, OH — The undefeated Solon Comets are rolling into the postseason with a ton of momentum. The team, currently 19-0 after beating Shaker Heights, claimed its first Greater Cleveland Conference championship since 2007 and earned a one seed in the upcoming district playoffs.
The Comets will start their postseason journey in the Euclid district bracket. The team's first game will be played March 3 at 7 p.m. at home.
Solon's first playoff opponent will either be John Hay or Willoughby South High School. Willoughby is the higher ranked seed in that match-up.

The two seed in Solon's district bracket is Brush High School, a team that is currently 15-6 on the season. If the two teams were to meet, it would be in the district championship game which will be played March 10 at 7 p.m. at Euclid High School.
The Comets have three games left in the regular season. Solon will play Brunswick on Feb. 16 at home at 7:30 p.m.; then St. Edward, at St. Ed's, on March 20 at 7 p.m.; and will finish the regular season on the road at Strongsville on March 23 at 7:30 p.m.
