Solon High Students Qualify For National Speech & Debate Tourney
Fifteen Solon High students will be heading to New Mexico for the national tournament.
SOLON, OH — Fifteen Solon High students have qualified for the National Speech & Debate tournament. The team took first place at the North Coast National Qualifier on Feb. 15 to punch their collective ticket.
“I am thrilled with the outcome of our national qualifier,” said Dan Ceci, Solon’s Speech & Debate adviser. “Our students this year are incredibly talented, but more importantly they are motivated, hardworking and great teammates. They truly care about one another and making our team as a whole better.”
The National Speech & Debate tournament will be held in Albuquerque, New Mexico in June.

The team members who either qualified outright or as alternates for the tournament are: Madison Bolden, Nick Caraballo, Aditya Kalahasti, O'rimilo Oresanya, Megan Tang, Megan Wiser and Matthew Wilson.
Solon High's eight alternates for the national tournament are: Nandana Ahuja, Mira Atwah, Vaibhav Bhargava, Pinak Chitnis, Aidan Cullers, Olivia Heus, Michelle Park and Seth Rendon.
