Solon Holding Job Fair November 15

SOLON, OH — A free job fair will be held in Solon on November 15. More than 20 companies have already signed up for the event.

The job fair will be held at the Solon Recreation Center, 35000 Portz Parkway, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Both job candidates and companies should register for the event by November 1, because space is limited.

“We are hearing from local businesses that they would like our support in the areas of workforce development and recruiting talent, and on the flip side, we are hearing from people who want to find gainful employment. This is the perfect opportunity for us to bring both sides together,” said Angee Shaker, Solon’s director of business development. “This is a benefit to the community as a whole, and we are very happy to be partnering with the Chamber of Commerce for such a worthwhile event.”

Participating companies can conduct on-site job interviews with candidates. Registration for the event can be done at the Solon Chamber of Commerce website. The group said space for the job fair is limited.

“Our mission is to serve as advocates for the business community by supporting and fostering vibrant economic growth, and hosting a job fair is the perfect way for us to do just that,” said Thomas Bennett, president of the Solon Chamber of Commerce. “We have a tremendous business community here in Solon and this event will help showcase the participating companies. We are expecting a good turnout and are hopeful that it will result in a number of long-lasting placements.”
