Solon Hosting Snowman Building Contest
It's time to get creative with the snow --- as soon as we have some.

SOLON, OH - Even though we've recently had some unseasonably warm days, snow is coming. It's Ohio. Would it shock anyone if it was 60 and sunny on Monday and we had two feet of snow by Tuesday morning? One of the few bright sides of the fluffy white stuff is the city's snowman building contest.
Open to residents throughout the city, the contest is looking for the best, most creative, and visually appealing snowman. You're allowed to use any tools or accessories that you want, so bust out the Monopoly top hat and a carrot stick.
You'll need to take a picture of your snowman to enter. At least one snowman builder needs to be in the photograph. Once you have a good photograph, send your work to KLang@solonohio.org. Names of builders, telephone number to be reached, and date the snowman was built must be added to the e-mail.

Fair warning, the city will be able to use your picture in future marketing and promotional activities.
And this probably goes without saying, but don't do anything obscene with your snowman. Crude or suggestive creations will be barred from consideration.
