Solon Mayoral Election Results Nov. 7 2017
All precincts have submitted their results. Solon has a new mayor.

SOLON, OH — The city of Solon has a new mayor, Edward H. Kraus. Residents voted Tuesday night for Kraus, who beat out his opponent Doug Magill in a tight election. About 700 votes separated Magill and Kraus, according to the Cuyahoga County Board of Election's unofficial results.
Solon's previous mayor, Susan Drucker, chose not to seek a third term in office and left the office. Magill and Kraus were both Solon City Councilmen and competed in the city's September primary. During that race, the two candidates were in a virtual deadlock, both finishing with 41.7 of the vote.
Kraus has been a resident of Solon for 24 years, according to his campaign website. He currently serves as Ward 6's representative on city council.
