"This is an exceptional honor. It reflects the commitment, district wide to excellence, and what the Middle School itself does to meet the needs of students. All of our staff does whatever it takes to make sure the programming for students, academically and extracurricularly, socially and emotionally, provides support and challenges to meet student needs," a district spokesperson told Patch.
The district had to complete a lengthy application process to be considered for the award. This year's crop of 2020 National Blue Ribbon Schools will be honored during a virtual award ceremony on Nov. 12 and Nov. 13.
