Solon Named Best Public High School In Ohio

SOLON, OH — Solon High is the best public high school in Ohio, according to Niche.com. The website said the home of the Comets was the seventh best public high school in the country.

To create the rankings, Niche.com looked at more than 94,000 public schools and ranked them based on comments from current students, alumni and parents, test scores and academic performance, campus life, extracurricular activities, diversity, sports options, and special needs programs.

Solon received an overall A+ grade in the rankings. The report card for the high school broke down like this:

• Teachers — A+
• Clubs & Activities — A
• Diversity — A-
• College Prep — A+
• Health & Safety — A+

In the user input section, one Solon High senior wrote, "This is a school that definitely has higher standards than most other high schools but I feel like that actually helps its students do better in their future academic endeavors."
