Solon Names New Director Of Business, Marketing

SOLON, OH — Angee Shaker has been named the city's new Director of Business and Marketing. The position is the first in the city to cater exclusively to local businesses.

“We are thrilled to have Angee as an essential part of team Solon. Her extensive experience in transforming large organizations will enable our community to grow and prosper. A proven leader, she will play a key role in integrating marketing, business development and innovation for the City of Solon," said Mayor Ed Kraus. "I am confident that she will use her expertise to elevate our community and to effectively articulate the Solon story.”

Shaker previously worked for the Cleveland Metropolitan School District, primarily in the role as Executive Director of New School Engagement. She and her husband both live in Solon, and the couple's two children attend Solon Schools.

“I am honored to have the opportunity to serve the City of Solon. I look forward to telling the Solon story and expanding our brand. I’m eager to cultivate and nurture relationships with our existing business community and help recruit new businesses," Shaker said.
