Solon Ranked Third Best Cleveland Suburb to Live In

SOLON, OH - The city has been named the third best suburb to live in around metro Cleveland. Solon was placed behind Rocky River (second) and Shaker Heights (first). Solon earned its distinction based off several ranking factors, including price of living, shortest commute, family amenities and more. The rankings were conducted by the website niche.com.

The website, niche.com, collects data from across the US and uses it to tabulate which suburb, or city, may be best for an individual family to live in. The company says it uses data from the US Census, the FBI, and the US Department of Education, among others. It also says it has more than 100 million city reviews and poll responses that it draws from.

Solon was given worse grades than Shaker Heights in a few areas, including: Diversity, Shortest Commute, and Weather.

The website used a series of factors to determine which suburb should receive each ranking. Solon got the following grades, based off of niche's research.

• Education Grade - A+
• Public Schools - A+
• Real Estate - B-
• Diversity - A-
• Health & Fitness - A-
• Nightlife - A-
• Shortest Commute - B
• Crime & Safety - A-
• Family Amenities - A+

• Weather - C-

The top five looked like this:
