Solon Resident Selected as 2017 Bank of America Student Leader

Solon High School senior Milan Jain was one of five Cleveland-area teens selected to be part of the 2017 Bank of America Student Leaders program this past summer. The program awarded the students a paid, eight-week summer internship at the Greater Cleveland Food Bank and a trip to Washington, D.C. to participate in the Bank of America Student Leadership Summit. The internships provided students with valuable work experience while also supporting the nonprofits with extra help this summer.

Milan has always been heavily involved in numerous clubs and organizations, where he consistently works to bring students and community members together around various causes. One of Milan’s favorite extracurricular activities is Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA). Milan has been involved with FBLA since his freshman year at Solon High School, and he now serves as Ohio FBLA treasurer. Throughout his involvement with the organization, Milan has built his knowledge of the business world to become a strong advocate for pre-professional clubs and youth engagement. Milan also channels giving back to his local community, which is why he serves on his school's Key Club board as President, allowing him to facilitate volunteer opportunities for himself and his fellow peers.
