Solon Schools Says It's Owed $12,900 By Ticketing Company
The district is looking to reclaim nearly $13,000 in lost ticket revenue.

SOLON, OH — School districts throughout Ohio were left with serious questions when digital ticket processing company TicketRoar filed for bankruptcy. Solon Schools were no exception. Officials said the district is owed nearly $13,000 by the company, a representative told Patch.
"We believe there is about $12,900 unaccounted for in money owed to the district by TicketRoar for ticket receipts. There are many Northeast Ohio schools that are similarly affected," a Solon Schools spokesperson told Patch. "The district is aware that TicketRoar has filed for bankruptcy. We are evaluating all options to protect and preserve our legal rights and recover the funds."
According to a report filed with Solon police by the school district, TicketRoar was used to process ticket sales for football games, season passes, and two drama club events in August. On August 22, the district moved its ticket processing to Eventbrite.

TicketRoar no longer supports ticket sales, but the company's parent company, Home Team Marketing, has been difficult to contact. Solon police said they have been unable to reach anyone at the company. Patch has also received no response to multiple emails and a voicemail left for TicketRoar. The company's Facebook and Twitter profiles have been closed down.
On TicketRoar's website, the company said it is supported by Eventbrite. When asked about the company, and the money possibly owed to Solon Schools, an Eventbrite spokesperson emailed the following statement to Patch: “TicketRoar customers have the option to continue to ticket their events directly through Eventbrite since TicketRoar is no longer operating. Any funds for tickets sold on the Eventbrite platform on or after August 22, 2019, were processed by Eventbrite. Any tickets prior to this date are the responsibility of TicketRoar and now in the hands of the bankruptcy filing."
