Police said three Solon High students broke into the Arthur Road school and stole three Apple devices.

SOLON, OH — Three teenagers broke into the Arthur Road School this week. The trio stole three iPads but later tried to return the devices, police said.

On Monday, after the school was closed, three students forced their way inside and stole three iPads. The students left the building with the devices but then learned they could not operate the devices successfully.

The trio then broke back into the school and returned two of the three iPads, according to Solon police. The third iPad was found in one of the student's backpacks when they were summoned to the administrative offices on Tuesday.

A Solon Schools spokesperson said the district could offer no comment on the incident because it involved students. However, the spokesperson said the events, as described by police, were accurate.
