Stolen Car Found In Solon, Driver Arrested

Police said they also found an open container of alcohol and crack cocaine inside the vehicle.

SOLON, OH — At 7:40 a.m. on Saturday, police got call about a theft happening at the True North gas station on SOM Center Road. The suspect left the gas station in a car, but was stopped by police on Solon Road.

Officers investigated the vehicle and discovered it had been reported stolen. Police arrested the driver and then found the items that had been stolen from True North inside the car.

There was also an open container of alcohol, crack cocaine and drug paraphernalia found on the passengers in the car.

The driver, a 59-year-old from Cleveland, was arrested and charged with possession of a stolen vehicle, possession of drug paraphernalia, theft, not wearing a seat belt, and driving with expired license plates. A passenger in the car, a 57-year-old from Cleveland, was also charged with theft and open container in a car.
