Stolen Car Found By Solon Police

Officers discovered an 18-year-old driving a stolen car on US 422 last week, police said.

SOLON, OH — A stolen car was found in Solon on July 15. The vehicle was being driven by an 18-year-old from Cleveland.

According to police, a little after midnight on July 15, officers stopped a car on US 422 west for a traffic violation. Police checked the registration history on the car and discovered the vehicle was reported stolen from a Bratenahl resident.

The driver, an 18-year-old, had a suspended driver's license and active warrants for his arrest from the Cuyahoga County Sheriff's Office. He was taken into custody and moved to the Solon Correction Center.

Police said there were three other people in the car, including two people under 18. All three people were either released or taken home by officers.

Police said the 18-year-old driver faces charges for receiving stolen property and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
