Street Construction Planned In Solon For Monday, Tuesday

Crews will remove concrete caps, mill deteriorated asphalt patches, and repave several streets throughout the city.

SOLON, OH — The city announced on Facebook today that several street repair projects would be taking place Monday. The work is expected to be completed by the end of the day on Tuesday.

Contracted crews will be removing concrete caps and topping with asphalt at various points in the city. On Solon Road, where the street was closed in March 2016, the contractor will remove the concrete cat and replace it with 2 inches of asphalt. Two-way traffic will be maintained with flaggers.

Aurora Road, east of Liberty, at 37125 Aurora, the contractor will remove the concrete cap on Monday and then top the street with asphalt on Tuesday. Two-way traffic will be maintained by flaggers.

At Medhurst Avenue, at the corner of Woodall, crews will remove the concrete cap on Monday and then top the area with asphalt.

Finally, Liberty Road, southbound at Spicebush, will undergo work on Tuesday. A deteriorated asphalt patch will be milled out and replaced with a new asphalt surface. Traffic will be maintained both ways with flaggers.
