Suspect Resists Solon Cops, Forced To Ground, Arrested
A small bag of weed fell from the man's pocket while he was being forced into the back of the cop car.

SOLON, OH — Police stopped a man for driving with a broken brake light and no front license plate. The man resisted police and got himself arrested. Read on for more information on that incident and others from the past five days.

Theft, Aug. 11 — Someone took cash from unlocked vehicles on Glenallen Avenue. The detective bureau will follow up on the incidents.

OVI, Aug. 11 — While on patrol, a cop saw a vehicle pull off the road, the driver jump out out of the car and then get back in. The officer stopped the car to investigate. The driver, Richard Diturno, 64, of Twinsburg, was impaired. He was arrested and taken to jail where he blew a .209 on a breath test.
Disorderly Conduct, Aug. 11 — Callers reported an intoxicated man walking on SR 91 near the Park East Apartments. The man was falling into the street. Police found the man in the parking lot near Market District. The man was impaired and was unable to care for himself. He was arrested for disorderly conduct.

Physical Control, Aug. 12 — An off-duty cop working security at Market District saw an intoxicated customer who was attempting to get in her car and leave. Police confronted the woman as she was trying to leave. She was told to turn her car off and get out. Field sobriety tests indicated she was impaired. She was given a breath test and it resulted in a .287.
Improper Handling of a Firearm, Aug. 14 — Police saw a vehicle on Harper Road with one functioning brake light and no front license plate. A traffic stop was initiated and officers smelled marijuana coming from the car. The driver was asked to get out of the car but refused. The man then tried to start the car and leave. Cops intervened, struggling with the driver. David Wilson, 23, of Cleveland, was taken to the ground by police after he continually refusing police commands and reaching for his waist area. While being placed into the back of the car, a small bag of marijuana fell from Wilson's pants leg. A .380 handgun was found in his car console. He was charged with obstructing official business, improper handling of a firearm, possession of marijuana and resisting arrest.
