Suspect In Solon Bank Robbery Taken Into Custody
Police say they have arrested a man on suspicion of robbing the Solon Key Bank on Monday.

SOLON, OH — A man accused of robbing Key Bank in Solon was taken into custody, police announced on Thursday morning.
Aaron Van Drei, 28, of Rocky River, was arrested on a charge of robbery, a second degree felony. He posted bond and is scheduled to make his first court appearance on Thursday afternoon in Bedford Municipal Court.
Police said there are no other suspects in their investigation into the bank robbery. The case is still being investigated, by officers said an outpouring of tips came through social media and as a response to local media coverage.

The robbery happened at 4:20 p.m. on Monday. A man came into the bank and walked up to a teller. He passed a note over demanding money. The teller handed over the cash and the man left the bank. No weapon was seen during the robbery.
A "hold up" alarm was triggered at the bank, but the suspect was gone before officers arrived.

"There is no reason to believe there is any ongoing risk to the Solon community," the police department said in a press release on Monday.
