Suspected Cocaine, Marijuana Found During Solon Arrest: Police

Police arrested two people for a loud fight that broke out at Solon Motel. One of the arrested people reportedly had narcotics on him.

SOLON, OH — Suspected cocaine and marijuana were found on a man arrested at Solon Motel this month. The man is also accused of bringing suspected cocaine into Solon Jail.

The incident started a little before 11 p.m. on Jan. 17. Callers reported an argument between a man and woman that spilled outside of a motel room.

Police arrived and found the man outside the motel, apparently intoxicated, they said. The woman was also found outside the motel. The two had fought and then walked away from each other, police said.

Officers discovered the man was in possession of both marijuana and cocaine, according to police. He was told that he was going to be arrested for disorderly conduct and drug possession, and that if he had any other drugs on him, he should tell police before they got to Solon Jail.

The man arrived at Solon Jail and took off his pants, to put on the corrections jumpsuit. When he began to undress, a small baggie of suspected cocaine tumbled to the floor.

The man, a 30-year-old from Bedford Heights, is charged with disorderly conduct, possession of marijuana, possession of cocaine, and prohibited conveyance of drugs into a correctional facility.

The woman in the fight was charged with disorderly conduct, police said. She is a 34-year-old woman from Cleveland.
