Taste of Solon Announces 2016 Local Award Winners

SOLON, OH - The Solon Chamber of Commerce held Savor the Taste of Solon on Sunday, November 6, 2016 at Signature of Solon.

Fifteen Solon Chamber member and local restaurants participated and the following were awarded “Best of” honors in six different categories:

• Best Hot Appetizer, Freeway Lanes of Solon for Fire Roasted Sweet Potatoes;
• Best Cold Appetizer, Annex Bar & Grill for their Creamy Cole Slaw;
• Best Entrée The Butcher’s Pantry featured their Homemade Sausage;
• Best Dessert and Best of Show, Sensational Cakes…And More! with their Chocolate Almond Salted Carmel Cake Pop;
• Best Display, 56 Kitchen, Chocolate Almond Salted Carmel Cake Pop.

Celebrity judges included Chef Eddie Tancredi from ADEGA- the 9, Michael Griffin & Elissa Paul - Crust and Chef David Schomisch from Nordstrom Grill.
