Teenager Arrested For Assault In Solon

Police also broke up a disturbance at a local Dunkin Donuts shop. Read more about those incidents.

SOLON, OH — Police had to break up two fights last week, including one involving two teenagers, including 17-year-old and 18-year-old Solon residents. As a result, at least one person has been charged with assault, according to police records.

The first incident took place Jan. 3 at the Dunkin Donuts on SOM Center Road. Callers reported two men making a ruckus at the store. Staff at the store told police the men were being disruptive and management wanted them removed.

Police escorted the two men outside. One of the men, a 22-year-old from Cleveland had an outstanding warrant with Highland Hills Police, so he was arrested and transferred into that department's custody.

Then, on Jan. 6, police got reports of a fight at apartments on Aurora Road. When police arrived there were three people, apparently brawling over drugs and "other items." A 17-year-old was referred to the city's juvenile officer. A 20-year-old was issued a misdemeanor citation disorderly conduct.

Police also arrested an 18-year-old Solon man. He has been charged with assault and criminal damaging. He was taken to Solon Jail.
