Traffic Stop Ends In Weapons Arrest In Solon
After watching a car commit several traffic violations, police pulled it over. The passenger in the car had a loaded gun in his waistband.

SOLON, OH — Police arrested a 26-year-old Clevelander for possession of a firearm this past week. Read on for more information on that incident and others. Theft, July 15 — An off-duty police officer working security at Market District, 34310 Aurora Rd., saw a woman placing items into a cart before she left the store without paying. Melissa Latham, 43, of Oakwood, was arrested for theft. She attempted to steal $107.08 of merchandise. She was held on active arrest warrants through the Summit County Sheriff's Office, the Bedford Police Department, and Maple Heights Police Department.
OVI, July 16 — Police stopped a car for drifting over the dividing line of the road. When speaking with the driver, officers noted signs of impairment. Timothy Mixon, 46, of Solon, was then arrested and taken to jail. He blew a .165 on a breath test and was charged with OVI, prohibited BAC, and marked lanes.

OVI, July 16 — Police stopped Dejohn Durrah, 28, of Euclid, for going 50 mph in a 25 mph zone. Durrah was arrested and taken to Solon Jail where he blew a .125 on a breath test. He was charged with OVI, prohibited BAC, speed, marked lanes, drug possession, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
OVI, July 16 — George Getsy, 43, of Youngstown, was arrested after driving 43 mph in a 25 mph zone. Getsy had signs of impairment and was taken to Solon Jail where he blew a .175 on a breath test. He was charged with OVI, prohibited BAC, driving without a seatbelt, and speeding.

Having a Weapon Under Disability, July 18 — Police spotted a car on US 422 east, near Harper, committing several traffic violations. Officers stopped the car on Harper and the driver, Lakeysha Turner, 22, of Bedford Heights, was arrested and held for an outstanding warrant. The passenger in the car, Jamel Turner, 26, of Cleveland, was arrested for having a loaded pistol in his waistband. Turner has a history of aggravated robbery. He was charged with having a weapon under disability, possessing marijuana. He was also held for an active arrest warrant through Cleveland Heights.
