Trash, Recycling Changing In Solon?
The city is considering a time change for pick-ups. Residents are being asked to fill out a survey on the proposal.

SOLON, OH — Residents may have to start putting their trash and recycling cans out a little earlier. Solon's Service Department is considering picking up refuse at 7 a.m., instead of starting 7:30 a.m. Before making the change, though, the city is asking for input from its residents.
"The small change in the time for cart placement will help to improve the quality of service within the solid waste and recycling program," the city said on its website. The city also said the extra 30 minutes could improve efficiency of pick-up.
Residents would still be able to place their trash cans outside the night before collection. Before any changes are made, though, the city wants to know what you think.

"As always we appreciate the input of the residents we serve, please take the time to complete the survey regarding this time change," the city said.
The survey includes some basic questions. The city wants to know if the time change would make life more difficult for residents, if more residents would start placing their trash cans outside the night before and whether residents generally support the pick-up time change.
