Two Drivers Arrested For Impaired Driving In Solon
Both drivers refused to take a breath test after being taken to Solon Jail by police.

SOLON, OH — Police busted two people for driving while impaired recently. Both people refused to take breath tests, but were stopped for driving erratically through the city.
The first arrested happened Feb. 13, the day before Valentine's Day. A 47-year-old from Moreland Hills was stopped for speeding. The car was recorded driving 49 mph in a 35 mph zone on Miles Road, near the US 422 overpass.
Police said they smelled alcohol as they came near the driver. Officers also noticed that her eyes were glassy and bloodshot. Field sobriety tests were administered and indicated the driver was impaired. She was arrested and taken to Solon Jail.

She refused to take a breath test and has been charged with operating a vehicle impaired, speeding and failing to maintain a lane of travel.
The second incident took place Feb. 17 at about 3:45 p.m. Police stopped a 37-year-old Cleveland Heights man after he was seen drifting out of his lane during a turn onto Liberty Road. The car was then seen drifting left of center. Police stopped the car near Deepwood Trail.

Police said they smelled alcohol when they came near the driver side open window. There were other signs of impairment and the 37-year-old was arrested and taken to Solon Jail. He refused to take a breath test.
He has been charged with operating a vehicle impaired, marked lanes, open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle and driving with a suspended license.
