Two Solon Businesses Broken Into, Vandalized

Police believe the suspect is the same person that set fires behind Alesci's and Creative Playrooms on July 19.

SOLON, OH — Two Solon businesses were broken into in late July. The suspect set off a fire extinguisher inside the stores after he gained entry, police said. Investigators said they think the suspect is the same person that may have started fires near Creative Playrooms and Alesci's on July 19.

Butcher's Pantry was broken into on July 21. The suspect disconnected the power to the store and then sprayed a fire extinguisher inside the building. A similar thing happened at H&H Towing on July 25, but items were also taken from that business, police said.

A 22-year-old Solon man was identified as a suspect and arrested by police. Sources told Patch the man confessed to setting the fires outside Alesci's and Creative Playrooms, but there's no word on if he also confessed to the two breaking and entering incidents.
