University Hospitals Geauga Medical Center launches full array of UH Occupational Medicine Services for area businesses and employees

Hospital and UH Corporate Health offer workplace injury, pre-employment and wellness programs

GEAUGA COUNTY – University Hospitals (UH) Corporate Health and UH Geauga Medical Center have collaborated to launch a full array of Occupational Medicine services at the hospital for employers and employees in the Geauga, Lake, Ashtabula, Portage and Trumbull County region.

UH Corporate Health injury care continues to be available at all University Hospitals Urgent Care Centers, outpatient Health Centers (including UH Chagrin Highlands and Concord health centers) and hospital-based Emergency Departments throughout Northeast Ohio. Now, UH Geauga Medical Center, 13207 Ravenna Road in Chardon, has begun offering workplace injury follow-up services; pre-employment exams and testing; and company wellness programs from one centralized clinical source.

Occupational injury services available through UH Geauga Medical Center include:

*Work-related injury care from Bureau of Workers Compensation-certified physicians

*Injury care follow-up (including through UH Corporate Health Preferred Provider Network)

*Return-to-work physicals

*Post-accident drug screening (includes Medical Review Officer assessment)

*Breath alcohol testing

Pre-employment services include:

*Physical examinations:

-Routine annual

-Department of Transportation

-HAZMAT

-Police & Fire Department pension

-Fitness for duty

*Pulmonary function, hearing and vision testing
