Wanted Felon Arrested In Solon
Police caught the man during a routine traffic stop for speeding.

SOLON, OH — Police caught a wanted felon recently during a routine traffic stop. The man was stopped for speeding on US 422 and then held for intoxicated driving. Police discovered he had an active felony warrant for his arrest from Mayfield Heights Police.

Theft, Aug. 16 — Police were called to Bed Bath & Beyond, 6025 Kruse Dr., after a loss prevention officer discovered a customer had made a fraudulent return on July 24. The customer used the return to purchase a Coleman Tent, worth $126.39. Using surveillance video footage, and information on the delivery of the tent, officers identified Erica Dickson, 27, of Cleveland, as the suspect. She was later arrested for theft.

OVI, Aug. 19 — A car going north on SR 91 didn't yield to an emergency vehicle leaving Station 2. Police stopped the unyielding vehicle on US 422. Officers say they noted signs of impairment on the driver and asked him to perform field sobriety tests. Earl Gray, 60, of Garfield Heights, was arrested and taken to jail. He blew a .194 on a breath test. He was charged with OVI, prohibited BAC, failure to yield to a public safety vehicle, possession of marijuana and possession of marijuana paraphernalia.
OVI, Aug. 19 — Rayshawn Harris, 32, of Lyndhurst, was stopped on US 422 west after he was recorded driving 80 mph in a 60 mph zone. Police say they detected an odor of alcohol and marijuana coming from Harris when they spoke to him. Field sobriety tests indicated Harris was impaired and he was arrested. He refused to take a breath test and was charged with speeding, driving under suspension, and held on a felony warrant for Mayfield Heights Police.

Theft, Aug. 23 — Management at Jimmy John's, 33629 Aurora Rd., called police and said an employee had taken cash out of a coworker's purse. The incident occurred Aug. 22 at about 9 a.m. The theft was captured on surveillance video. The suspect, Jamar Felton, 23, of Bedford, took $5 from the purse. He was issued a misdemeanor citation for theft.
