Woman Arrested For Driving Drunk With Child In Car In Solon

SOLON, OH - Police arrested a 49-year-old woman after she was seen swerving in her lane on April 14. The woman had a 13-year-old in her car and was arrested for driving while intoxicated. Read on for more information on that incident and others.

Theft, Planet Fitness: The manger of Planet Fitness, 33506 Aurora Rd., reported that an employee had been stealing from the business. He reported the matter to police on April 13. The manger discovered that cash was missing from the register after most shifts involving the employee. Surveillance video reveals that the employee, removed a total of $120 in cash from the business over eight shifts. A warrant has been issued for her arrest.

Theft, Parking lot of D & R Bagels: While eating at D&R Bagels on April 14, someone entered a Clarksville, Tennessee man's rented Chevy Malibu and stole a black backpack with keys, a Blackberry, a Kindle, Beats wireless headphones, and an E-Cigarette. There are no suspects.

OVI, Solon Cinemas: A 49-year-old Bainbridge woman was arrested after she left Solon Cinemas acting strangely on April 14. An employee of Solon Cinemas called and reported that the woman may be intoxicated. Police stopped her on Aurora Road after an officer saw her make numerous lane violations. Her speech was slurred and was confused when officers spoke to her. She said she was picking up her 13-year-old son from the cinema. Field sobriety tests indicated she was intoxicated and she was subsequently arrested and taken to jail where she blew a .113. She was charged with OVI, Prohibited BAC, Violation of License restrictions, Failure to Maintain Marked Lanes, and Endangering Children.

Theft, Planet Fitness: Solon Police are looking for Tereka Christian, 28 of Columbus, for thefts that occurred at Planet Fitness, 33605 Aurora Road, in February 2017. Police say Christian has a history of thefts from health clubs, often in concert with her husband who is now in prison for similar offenses. The warrant was issued after investigation performed by the detective bureau regarding the thefts indicated that she was the offender.

Receiving Stolen Property, 30600 Carter Street: An East Cleveland resident called Solon Police on April 17 to report that her 1993 Mercury, entered as stolen with East Cleveland Police, had been located at Custom Products. The car was being driven by Kenneth Hudson, 30, of Cleveland. Officers spoke with management of Custom Products who confirmed that Hudson was working there. Hudson was arrested with the keys to the car in his pocket. The car was recovered in the parking lot.
