Bark In The Park Pledge Walk & Pet Expo

Annual Bark in the Park Fundraiser Set for May 10 at Springfield Lake Park

PAWSibilities®, Humane Society of Greater Akron is preparing for its annual Bark in the Park pledge walk and pet expo presented by Cascade Subaru and the Lisle M. Buckingham Foundation on Saturday, May 10 at Springfield Lake Park from 11AM –3PM. Bark in the Park, held in conjunction with Springfield Township, is a celebration of animals and an opportunity for you and your pet to enjoy a walk together while raising money and awareness for those animals who do not have a voice. All proceeds will benefit PAWSibilities®, Humane Society of Greater Akron’s animals who are victims of cruelty, neglect, illness and injury, as well as support our adoption services.

“More than 90% of PAWSibilities®, Humane Society of Greater Akron’s funding is from individual donations, so get your scout troop, sorority/fraternity, colleagues or even just friends and family together to support a great cause,” said Marissa Gelender, Special Event & Volunteer Coordinator. “This year, we have several fun activities planned for the day and we hope that you will come out and walk for the animals at PAWSibilities®, Humane Society of Greater Akron!” There will be police dog demonstrations by B.A.R.K. as well as K-9 Search & Rescue demonstrations by Ohio Search Dog Association, Inc., raffle prizes, contests and much more! PAWSibilities®, Humane Society of Greater Akron will also be showcasing adoptable dogs.
