Mailboxes are damaged often in Stow and surrounding cities, but this time the offense is making news because a keg was used to damage it. A Ritchie Road resident called to report that half beer keg was thrown at his mailbox Jan. 1 around 9 p.m. According to the report, the suspect that threw the half keg at the mailbox caused $100 in damage to the post and box.  Criminal damaging is a second-degree misdemeanor.
