Stow School Good Neighbors To Falls: 2,900 Items Donated for Holiday

The holiday drive ends today, but in a short time, the school collected 2,900 items.

has been busy playing Santa this year by collecting thousands of items to give to Good Neighbors in Cuyahoga Falls.

Tina Keithley and Mike Eckart, Kimpton teachers and Student Council advisors, said the students collected more than 2,900 items as of two days ago. The holiday drive ends today. 

"In addition to the academic teams progress that gets updated daily in the cafeteria, we used paper chains and links to showcase their generosity and compete to be the most giving team," said Eckart.

Kimpton is also working with on, which also ends today. 

"The extra clothes we've been getting for our Kimpton drive are being donated to the high school's drive because Good Neighbors needs food and hygiene items rather than clothes," said Eckart.

The high school's drive has collected more than 5,000 items for Haven of Rest with the help of students, Kimpton and the community.

“We’re hoping we can make a larger impact and help more people during the holiday season by opening it up to the community,” previously said Amanda Murray, high school council advisor.
