Blotter: Family's Life Threatened over Phone, Vulgar Letters and Grand Theft Auto
The following information was supplied by the Stow Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

- A Heights Drive resident told his car was gone when he woke up the next morning Aug. 7 from where he parked it on the street the night before. The owner said there was an extra set of keys in the center console of the vehicle. The car, a 2000 Buick Century, was later found by police that same day in the woods near the 2600 block of Call Road. Grand theft of a motor vehicle is a fourth-degree felony.

- A letter was sent to several residents on Cherokee Trail that was vulgar and claimed to be from a neighbor. The letter was not from the neighbor. Identity fraud is a fifth-degree felony.Β

- A Call Road resident received a call from someone he knew threatening to kill him and his family Aug. 7 around 8:46 a.m. According to the police report, alcohol is suspected to play a part in the situation. Telecommunication harassment is a first-degree misdemeanor.Β
