Careful With Your Drug Mart Receipts, Man Using Trashed Ones to Steal

A employee called May 9 about someone who had taken a receipt out of the garbage and went into the store to find those exact items. Once the products were found, the man used the receipt to make a fraudulent return for $22.32.

A warrant was issued for his arrest. 

Then again the next day on May 10, a Drug Mart employee complained to police about the same man taking receipts out of the trash and using them to return items he had not purchased. 

This time it was for $11.70. According to the report, the same man had done the same thing earlier that day as well.

Police said a separate warrant was issued. Drug Mart has video surveillance of the same man in the store making fraudulent returns, according to the report.

Theft, in this situation, is a first-degree misdemeanor.
