Dentist Plans Move Back to Stow
The former Key Bank building is expected to be the new location for a dentist returning to Stow.
Although he reluctantly said he would have liked to be open last month, Dr. RobertΒ Brandhorst is in the midst of opening a practice in an empty Key Bank building on S.R. 91.
Brandhorst is seeking a conditional zoning certificate for the 2,200-square-foot former Key Bank building at 4246 Darrow Rd. so he can re-open his dentistry business in Stow. Key Bank moved down the road and reopened at 3857 Darrow Rd.
Brandhorst, who practices alone, originally started out in Stow and then moved his business to 10467 Northfield Rd. inΒ Northfield for the past 15 years.Β

"I'm glad to be coming back," he said.
If granted the conditional zoning certificate, he hopes to open by the end of the summer or beginning of fall. The property is currently zoned as industrial and if approved, would then be zoned for medical use.

Some changes will be made to the interior of the building but thereΒ are no plans to change the exterior of building, which includes a drive-thru window.
"There won't be any drive-thru dentistry," he laughed. "We'll probably just use it for parking and eventually we might modify it."
Council Vice President said, "It seems like a good use for that building ... I'm glad it will be filled."
The conditional zoning certificate will be on Thursday night's agenda. Click for a list of meetings in early June.
