Public Bike Meeting

The Akron Metropolitan Area Transportation Study (AMATS) will present its draft Regional Bike Plan to the public for review during two meetings in mid-February.

 

The draft Bike Plan identifies regional bikeway needs and presents recommendations to improve the area’s bicycle trail network.  The plan’s purpose is to promote cycling in the region as a viable transportation option by providing safe, accessible and efficient bike routes and facilities.

AMATS will present the plan for public comment during meetings in Kent and Hudson.  These meetings are open to all.  The Kent meeting is scheduled for 6:30 p.m., Monday, Feb. 13 at the Kent Free Library and the Hudson meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 14 at the Hudson Library and Historical Society.
