Each year during the third week of October, libraries around the country celebrate Teen Read Week. It’s a time to focus on what young adults like to read and write, and highlights the importance of literacy.
October 16 – 23, teens at the Stow-Munroe Falls Public Library can submit book reviews for a chance to win candy bars and a life-size, cardboard standee of Edward Cullen from the Twilight series of books and movies.
Teen Read Week also features a concert by singer/songwriter Trent Pryor on Tuesday, October 18 from 7 – 8 p.m. Pryor’s accomplished acoustic guitar playing and poignant, real-life lyrics are rich with literary themes, but undeniably modern. Samples of his music can be found at: http://www.reverbnation.com/artist/exclusives/trentpryor.
