What is the biggest problem facing the district?
- "The biggest issue facing the Stow-Munroe Falls school district is the current financial crisis. The passage of the levy on Nov. 8 is critical. Pass or fail, I will challenge the board to continue to do more with less. Every dollar should be spent wisely and efficiently."
Are you in favor of the ?
- "I am in favor of the school levy. This levy will provide the financial resources to remain an 'Excellent' district and maintain our current programs. I believe our school district is the backbone of our community and our children deserve our support."
What are your goals if elected?
- Regain the confidence of the community and district employees
- Work toward financial stability
- Be open to new ideas
What qualifies you to be on the board?
- "I have lived in Stow for 45 years and graduated from the high school in 1976. Both my children are also Stow-Munroe Falls graduates and my wife is a former teacher in the district. As a long-standing resident, I want the best for my community and the school district. I believe I have much to offer the school board with my background in business and finance. I have great pride in our schools and want to do everything in my power to continue excellence in the classroom."
.Where do you stand on the Program?
- "There are many facets of the IB program that I believe are beneficial —teacher collaboration, foreign language instruction, teaching critical thinking skills. However, until our school district gets on strong financial ground, I would recommend that all future expenses for IB be suspended."
