Food Fight at Grocery Store Results in Injury

The following information was supplied by the Stow Police Department.

An ALDI employee called Saturday afternoon after a fight broke out that left a 45-year-old man with a cut under his left eye.

The fight started after a man’s wife excused herself when she walked by another man’s children, according to the report. The suspect alleged the woman had almost β€œplowed over” his children, said police.

The suspect walked over to and yelled at the woman’s husband, threw oranges at him then struck him in the face, the report stated.

The suspect, who left before police arrived, was not injured. The police report did not specify what part of the store the altercation took place.

The suspect has been charged with assault, a first-degree misdemeanor.
