LISTEN: Residents Complain About Gunfire, Shots Heard in 911 Call

received several calls March 18 complaining about gunshots near Shawnee Drive — one caller said it sounded like there were several types of guns and that "they were having a field day."

Calls came in from residents around 1:30 p.m. that Sunday afternoon.

In one of the calls to dispatch, the gunshots can be heard in the background.

"It sounds crazy back there ... shooting away," a caller said to a Stow dispatcher.

When police arrived, they found a man shooting firearms into a dirt backstop in a wooded area. Discharging firearms is a first-degree misdemeanor.
